Overflow

To ensure a prompt and efficient payout service to all our traders, we implement an overflow feature which works as follows:  You are entitled to a maximum withdrawal of $10,000 per two withdrawal cycles (per trader). If you profit more than $10,000, you will be given the maximum of $10,000. As you scale your account, the max withdrawal scales proportionally. If you are trading on multiple accounts, your accounts will treated as the same account. With the time between withdrawals being calculated with respect to the first account. The withdrawal cycle will be based on the account with the first withdrawal. 

Example: If you have a $100,000 account and you profit $8,000 first withdrawal and $6,000 second withdrawal You will be eligible to withdraw a total of $10,000. Your next two withdrawal cycles you will be eligible to withdraw $10,000 total. Your account balance will reset back to $100,000 after both withdrawal cycles. 

Profit Exceeding $5,000

If your total profit exceeds $5,000, your best trading day (day counted between two singular trades, with not 24h between closing trade 1 and opening trade 2) or singular trade (a singular trade can be made up of multiple trades entered at the same time) may not exceed 50% of your profit in the funded stage payout cycle. If you do exceed the 50%, the profits made will be contracted to the 50% mark. 

Example: Lets say you have a $100,000 account, in day 1 you make $5,000, day 2 you make $3,000. Your total balance is now $108,000. Your total withdraw before split will be $6,000. You also have the choice to continue trading to ensure none of your trading days are more than 50% of your total profits. If on one trade you make $10,000. If you choose to withdraw the amount you withdraw before split will be $5,000.

Max Lifetime Withdrawals?

After having profits of $100,000 (over the course of all challenges), you have successfully graduated from the Maven program, every time you scale an account, the max withdraw scales along with it. 

Yes, we absolutely do!

In order to scale, the trader must profit 10% over the course of 4 months(2.5% per month). The trader is also required to process at least 1 payout per month. Afterwards, the trader’s account will be rewarded with a 25% increase.

The function is repeatable, up to $1,000,000. The max withdrawal cap scales alongside with the scaling plan.

Once you’ve passed the assessment, our team will review your account, which takes 1-3 days. Upon approval, you’ll receive a KYC (Know Your Customer) email through our provider, Veriff, to verify your identity. 

For this process, you will have to send a government-issued ID and also take a selfie so we know who we do business with and comply with AML regulations.

Static: The drawdown doesn’t change

Equity Based: The drawdown resets based on equity or balance (whichever is highest) at 00:00 UTC

Example: You have a $1000 account, you open a trade and leave it running overnight. Your equity at 00:00 UTC is $1100, but your balance is $1000. Your max daily drawdown will be 4% of $1100 ($44), your account will breach the daily drawdown if you go beneath $1,056 on that day. 

Balance Based: The drawdown resets based on the Balance at the daily rollover

Example: You have a $1000 account, you open a trade and leave it running overnight. Your equity is $1,100, but your balance is $1,000. Your max daily drawdown will be 4% of $1,000 ($40).

Trailing: The drawdown moves automatically with the highest equity point in your account

If you start with $1,000 in equity and your trailing max drawdown is 3%, your starting trailing max drawdown is $30. If you gain $100 in equity your new highest equity point is $1,100 and your new trailing max drawdown is 3% of $1,100 which is $33. So if your account goes below $1,067 that would be a breach.

Two Step Challenge:

Max Drawdown: 5% (trailing off your highest watermark of equity)

If your challenge hits any of the drawdown limits then your account will be breached

Your IP address for your Phase 1, Phase 2, and live account must match the same geographical region to verify you didn’t receive outside assistance. 

If we see that your IP address has changed, we will ask for proof and reasoning of why this has occurred. (Proof may involve plane tickets, live location checking through another medium, or another approach that Maven sees fit.)

All account holders must adhere to the terms in the Terms & Conditions signed when purchasing a challenge. All customers are responsible for paying taxes applicable to their place of residence.

Cheating: Using The Demo Trader inefficiencies such as High-Frequency Trading, Toxic Trading Order Flow, Long/Short arbitrage, reverse arbitrage, tick scalping, and server execution. You cannot copy trade from another individual, if found, both users will be breached.

Reverse/Group Hedging: Using your account to bet in one direction on a singular trade against another account, as this is an attempt at reversing the trade of another account for a 100% chance of winning. 

Hedging: You cannot exclusively hedge through a challenge or live account. Numerous malicious EA hedging bots aim to exploit the demo-trading environment, and we cannot accurately copy your trading onto a live server. If we see your account is exclusively hedging, we will ask you to provide the EA you have used (if applicable).

EA: EAs are permitted if they do not break the above rules. We may ask for proof of your EA to ensure that the EA you are using is not malicious. HFT, hedge zone, etc., are not permitted.

Note: A ‘trade’ can be determined as a position held by the trader on a specific pair. ‘Trade’ may be one or multiple entries with similar timings and lot sizes. A trade could be determined by multiple entries on the same pair at the same time. Trades with vastly smaller lot sizes will NOT count as a trade. If your account is flagged, you must rerun the challenge.

Your account will be terminated if you perform any of these actions.

We have ONE trading style rule:

Gambling: You cannot gamble your way through a challenge phase, Maven defines gambling as:

1. Excessive Scalping: Holding 50% or more of your trades for less than a minute.
2. Martingale: Having five positions opened simultaneously in drawdown, on the same pair
   
3. All in: Betting in one direction and holding until you pass or fail. This is defined as making one trade with no risk management (not having a stop-loss in place or risking more than the drawdown limit), which would either pass or fail the challenge. 
   

Examples:

Excessive Scalping:

The Trader is trying to execute trades rapidly, the trader takes a total of 50 trades, 26 of which have been executed in under a 60s hold time. This means a total of more than 50% of trades have been executed in under a 60s hold time and contributes to excessive scalping.

Martingale: 

The trader identifies several promising long opportunities in the EUR/USD pair and decides to open positions: Long EUR/USD at 1.2000. Long EUR/USD at 1.1980. Long EUR/USD at 1.1950. Long EUR/USD at 1.1975. However, the trader fails to monitor their positions closely and overlooks the existing limit of five positions in drawdown. In a moment of excitement, they open another long position without considering the rule. Long EUR/USD at 1.1995. With five long positions now opened in drawdown, The trader has breached the rule.

All in: 

A trader opens a one lot position on EUR/USD, they do not put in a SL and the trade runs all the way to passing the challenge in one go. This trade had two outcomes, either passing the challenge or failing the challenge, this does not show trading ability and the trader will not be processed to the funded stage. The trader enters a EURUSD on their two step challenge, they put the SL at 6% of the balance, if this hits SL this will fail the challenge. The trader would not advance to the funded stage. 

Note: A ‘trade’ can be determined as a position held by the trader on a specific pair. ‘Trade’ may be one or multiple entries with similar timings and lot sizes. A trade could be determined by multiple entries on the same pair at the same time. Trades with vastly smaller lot sizes will NOT count as a trade. If you are found to be gambling, you will not be advanced to the funded stage and offered to retry the challenge. A

Yes, but…

Traders cannot open or close trades 2 minutes either side of a red folder news event release. The two minute window includes trades hitting TP, profit target and pending orders. This includes trades that have been opened prior to the news event and trades that hit our profit target during the time window. Any evaluation accounts passed based on this style of trading, will not pass our challenge. 

Live accounts follow the same news trading procedures. Any profits generated from a news trading event will not be credited during the challenge phase or live phase in the allocated time window.
